Missing You..

I miss you, plain and simple,
There's no need to complicate things which are true,
Although those words can't truly express,
Exactly how I feel for you.

We've always had our ups and downs,
More than most people I know,
But regardless of whatever happened,
I never wanted to let you go.

Now I sit here writing this,
When I really should be by your side,
Whether I'll ever be next to you again,
Is something which you'll have to decide.

But before you decide, just think back,
Remember all the good times we shared?
Remember all the things I did,
To show I loved you, to show I cared?

I know it's hard to do right now,
Those sweet memories are hard to find,
With recent events corrupting your thoughts,
Shielding the light inside your mind.

Hopefully with time and space,
You'll begin to feel the way I do,
Regardless of what you say,
I know you want to be with me too.

We both need to change the way we are,
There are always improvements inside our range,
Understanding the pain of each other,
Is how we can learn to grow and change.
